We call them blue, but Russian blue cats actually have a range of blue-gray colors, from light silver to dark slate. Regardless of the shade, their vivid green eyes and pink paws are the perfect accent.

Although they are short-haired, Russian blue cats have a very dense double coat. Their undercoat is soft and supple, while the outer layer has a uniform silver tip. This explains the attractive shimmer of the breed. Although I have never tried it personally, they said that the fur of the Russian blue cat is very thick and soft. You can draw a pattern in it with your fingers, and the pattern will remain until you smooth them again.

As far as physique is concerned, the Russian Blues are slim, with fine bones, but well muscled. They have a triangular head, pointed ears and wide round eyes, giving them a friendly and curious expression.
